CPU-Control is a small yet powerful software solution designed to boost performance of multi-core systems (supports quadcores as well), setting up the processes to run on separate processors. Instead of running each process on both CPUs you can define it as you want it. For example, if you want to seperate the firewall and the anti-virus-software from the graphics-application.
Using the application is easy, mostly thanks to the interface that's very clean and simple. It only displays the list of running processes alongside the available modes, which gives you the power to configure each process in a matter of seconds. CPU-Control is a tool that may come in handy to a lot of users, especially because it boosts computer speed with just a few clicks.
- Automatic mode: It chooses alternatingly one CPU for each new process.
- Manual mode: You define a list, where you can set the way to handle each process.
- CPU 1 mode: All processes run on CPU 1, which is useful for old applications which crashes on a dual core system.
- CPU 2 mode: All processes run on CPU 2.
- Deactivated mode.
